The City of Yorkton was home to a 16-team pee wee hockey tournament this past weekend. Teams from Saskatchewan and Manitoba competed over three days to see who would win the coveted tournament championship.

The City of Yorkton was home to a 16-team pee wee hockey tournament this past weekend. Teams from Saskatchewan and Manitoba competed over three days to see who would win the coveted tournament championship.

There was plenty of action, from highlight reel goals and assists to penalty shots and saves.

The Prairie Storm Lightning won the ‘A’ Side with a 5-3 win over Redvers 1, the Saskatoon Flyer Hitmen took the ‘B’ Side over Melville Heat, the Yorkton Snap-On Terriers edged the Saskatoon Wild Outlaws 3-2 in the ‘D’ Side final while Warman beat Redvers 2 in the ‘C’ Side final.

Yorkton Mark’s Work Wearhouse Terriers finished third in the ‘C’ Side and the Yorkton Premier Cabinets Terriers finished third on the ‘D’ Side.
