LONDON (AP) 鈥� The European Union鈥檚 top court on Tuesday rejected Apple鈥檚 final legal challenge against an order from the bloc鈥檚 executive commission to repay 13 billion euros in back taxes to Ireland, bringing an end to the long-running dispute.
The European Court of Justice overruled a lower court鈥檚 earlier decision in the case, saying it 鈥渃onfirms the European Commission鈥檚 2016 decision: Ireland granted Apple unlawful aid which Ireland is required to recover.鈥�
The case drew outrage from Apple when it was , with CEO Tim Cook calling it 鈥渢otal political crap.鈥�
