WOLSELEY - A youth is facing a manslaughter charge in connection with woman's death in Wolseley.
On Aug. 18, at approximately 4 a.m., Indian Head RCMP received a report of a shooting at a home in Wolseley.
Officers immediately responded and located an injured woman, who was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. She has been identified as 18-year-old Keilia Windigo from Wolseley. Her family has been notified.
A male youth was arrested at the scene.
As a result of subsequent investigation by Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes, the youth, who is from Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation, is charged with: manslaughter with firearm; possession of a firearm while knowing it’s unauthorized; pointing a firearm; possession of a loaded restricted firearm without a licence; and weapons possession contrary to order.
