Whitetail buck shot and left in the Maple Creek area

Evidence was collected at the scene and officers now need the public’s assistance in finding the responsible individual(s).

MAPLE CREEK — On Nov. 23, conservation officers from Maple Creek received information that a white-tailed deer buck was shot and left approximately 10 miles southeast of Maple Creek that morning. Through investigation it is believed that the deer was shot between 8:15 and 9 a.m., says an alert issued by the Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety.

A black or dark-coloured Ford truck was observed leaving the area at that time and it is believed to be involved or that the occupants have knowledge of the shot and left deer violation.

Some evidence was collected at the scene and officers now need the public’s assistance in finding the responsible individual(s).
