NORTH BATTLEFORD — With an influx of visitors anticipated in North Battleford for Northwest Territorial Days, the city’s Community Safety Officers (CSOs) are stepping up enforcement for traffic safety violations this week.
Motorists can expect to see CSO units patrolling at various times of day in response to an increased number of speeders – information that is supported by speed sensors throughout the city, noted director of Protective Services, Chief Lindsay Holm.
“It’s concerning to look at the speed reports,” commented Holm. “Motorists are compromising public safety by speeding, street racing and in general operating vehicles in an unsafe manner. The city’s Community Safety Officers will be making these targeted patrols in an effort to reduce these occurrences of excessive speed, and to keep our community safe for other motorists and pedestrians.”
The targeted enforcement begins in North Battleford today. Anyone who would like to report an area of concern in the community may do so by contacting the CSO administrative line at 306- 445-1775.
