REGINA — Saskatchewan Students will soon have 24/7 online access to high school transcripts, commencing in summer 2024.
Facilitated through a strategic partnership with the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC) and their MyCreds platform, this will streamline the transcript acquisition process, empowering students with secure digital access to their academic records whenever they need.
Education Minister Jeremy Cockrill says the development is a pivotal step, “Education is the foundation for developing Saskatchewan’s labour force,” the minister said in a statement released to 620ckrm “Offering this service to make the transcript process more efficient will ultimately help students move forward in their careers and decision making as they plan their career path.”.
By digitizing transcripts, Saskatchewan will reduce wait times, paper consumption, and costs while giving continued access for both current and former students.
MyCreds is already used as a trusted platform for transcript and micro-credential management at leading post-secondary institutions in Saskatchewan, including the University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina, and Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
The transition to online transcript access will be seamless, with no disruption in service. Transcript orders placed through the Ministry of Education will continue to be processed through the Student and Educator Services unit until September 2024 – with the digital program launching this summer.
