While Apple’s engineers hustle to make Siri more than a punchline, something extraordinary has happened on the other side of the globe. China unleashed Manus — an autonomous AI agent that’s sparking what some observers are calling a genuine “ChatGPT moment.” Manus doesn’t just answer questions or give you a weather forecast—it autonomously executes complex tasks with startling proficiency. Want to build an entire social media plan including creative? Manus will do it, step by step, from initial concept to completion. It's a pretty good indication of what our agentic future might look like, .
P.S. The DOJ doubled-down on its Google suit over the weekend. They want to force Google to sell its Chrome browser. This case will go on for months (possibly years). By the time the DOJ and Google figure this out, agentic tools will be doing a substantial amount of online transactions for us. That means the DOJ will destroy Google's ability to evolve web search and help shape the future of online experiences just as we enter the age of agentic AI (which won't need browsers at all).
