Luseland has been my home for nearly 15 years, and I am very proud to be a citizen of this great community. For the past year and a half, I have been working at the local Delta CO-OP while also being a member of the current council. Having re-entered the workforce full-time after 15 years as a dedicated stay-at-home mom, I bring a unique perspective and diverse skill set to my role.

I would love the opportunity to serve the community for a full four-year term and continue to work on things that affect the whole town. My passion for community drives me to consider everyone and make careful decisions. I'm committed to continuous learning and growth, ensuring that I remain approachable and transparent in my role as councillor. Modesty may keep me from bragging, but I take pride in the resilience and dedication that guide my work every day.

Candice Kraft

My name is Candice Kraft, and I am seeking re-election for a third consecutive term as a councillor for the Town of Luseland. I live in Luseland with my husband, Darrell, and our three children. I work in the education system as a teacher and school principal, as well as own a mechanic shop and a car/truck wash with my husband in Luseland.

I believe in keeping our town attractive and affordable for people of all ages. I see value in having appealing amenities and healthy recreation opportunities that will attract citizens to choose Luseland as their home. I believe in supporting and encouraging our school enrollment, which in turn provides growth and sustainability for our community and our future.

It has been a pleasure to serve my community these past eight years, and I would be honoured if I was elected to serve again.

Eighteen years ago, my wife and I decided we would make Luseland our new home. Little did we know just how great this little town would be. I am a hard-working homebody guy who likes to spend time with my family. I have worked locally for most of my time here and have built good relationships with many of the great people in this community.

I believe my levelheaded approach to solving problems and issues will be a great asset. I am an out of the box thinker who is always looking for better, more efficient ways to accomplish my goals. I would like the opportunity to serve on the town council and will work hard to better this great community for a full term.

I look forward to working with our mayor, fellow council members and all our residents of this special little town.

Chad Levitt

I’m Chad Levitt. In 2022, my partner and I relocated to Luseland to be closer to her family and embrace the small-town lifestyle. Prior to moving, I graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Civil Engineering. I currently manage the Engineering Department as a Civil Engineering Technologist for the Town of Kindersley. Along with my background in municipal engineering, I also have a passion for problem-solving and community development.

I believe I will bring a unique perspective to our local government. I have tackled numerous complex projects with innovative solutions, always prioritizing efficiency and smart financial management. A few of the projects I have overseen have been the $2.4 million 2024 watermain upgrade, and the construction of the award-winning Kindersley Beach.

I believe in transparency, collaboration, and the power of community. I will work tirelessly to ensure that our local government is responsive, accountable and efficient.

Dwaine Scheuerman

Hi, my name is Dwaine Scheuerman. I am running for town council in Luseland. I have lived here for six years. Currently I am employed in the Maintenance Dept with the Saskatchewan Health Authority in Kerrobert. Before this I was employed with Town of Luseland as Assistant Foreman.

The question of what I am bringing to the table is my experience of working with the public. I am a good listener and look at each situation with pros and cons in mind. I will try my best for the residents of Luseland.

The other two candidates, Bobbi Elliott and Matthew Siwak, did not submit their photographs or write ups in time for publication.
