REGINA — SaskEnergy has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for the second year in a row.
Now celebrating its 24th year, Canada’s Top 100 Employers is an annual competition by Mediacorp Canada Inc., recognizing the best workplaces throughout the country.
“SaskEnergy delivers safe, reliable, and affordable energy year-round to 93 per cent of Saskatchewan’s communities while also providing over 1,100 people in our province with a rewarding workplace environment where they can thrive,” Minister Responsible for SaskEnergy Dustin Duncan said.
Mediacorp Canada Inc. evaluates companies in eight categories: workplace, work atmosphere and social, health, financial and family benefits, vacation and time off, employee communications, performance management, training and skills development, and community involvement.
Last year, judges recognized SaskEnergy’s maternity and paternity leave options, defined contribution pension plan, and hybrid remote-work policy as some of the reasons for honouring the corporation with the designation.
“This recognition is a testament to the amazing people working at SaskEnergy, and the positive workplace culture we have created together,” SaskEnergy’s president and CEO Mark Guillet said.
“I’m proud to work with this great team every day and honoured that we were recognized as one of Canada’s Top Employers for another year.”
Employers selected for Canada’s Top 100 Employers 2023 are announced in a special magazine published in The Globe & Mail.
