Saskatoon's Festival of Trees sees large crowds on opening day

More than 250 volunteers are part of the success story of Saskatoon's annual Festival of Trees, which opened Nov. 22 at Western Development Museum

SASKATOON - Benefitting the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation, the annual Festival of Trees opened Nov. 22 to large crowds throughout the day.  More than 250 volunteers man the event that runs until Nov. 30 and includes dozens of creatively decorated trees, wreaths and centerpieces as well as a Gingerbread Lane complete with 20 amazing cookie creations.

The classic Eaton's 'Once Upon A Christmas' display is also running, providing an enchanting look back at Christmas's past. Also a family favourite, the animated miniature train display that runs through a replica countryside and town. Added events are held throughout the week in Boomtown and the dining hall.
