Regina: Alcohol delivery turns into robbery

When delivering an order of alcohol, the driver was threatened with a knife.

REGINA — A 20-year-old Regina man has been charged after an alcohol delivery driver was robbed at knifepoint.

Regina Police Service says that on Jan. 6 at approximately 9:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Cameron Street for a report of delivery driver being robbed.

The victim told police he was delivering an order of alcohol to an address. An adult male answered the door and threatened the driver with a knife. The suspect grabbed the alcohol order before fleeing the address on foot. A canine officer attended and tracked the suspect to an address in the 1300-block Cameron Street. Police attended to that address and arrested the suspect without incident.

He was charged with robbery.
