REGINA - Saskatchewan fans hoping to see Paula Abdul perform in Regina or Saskatoon this fall got deflating news on Thursday.

Abdul announced on social media that her entire Straight Up! To Canada tour has been cancelled, as well as dates in Alaska and North Dakota.

Those cancellations include an Oct. 8 scheduled performance at Brandt Centre and an Oct. 9 performance at SaskTel Centre. Taylor Dayne and Tiffany were also scheduled.

In her post, Abdul pointed to injuries she recently sustained, one of which requires a minor procedure followed by a six to eight week recovery time.

“I want to extend my deepest apologies to all my amazing fans in Canada and the US, you mean the world to me, and this truly breaks my heart,” Abdul said her post. She further stated: “I promise I’ll be back, stronger and better, dancing my heart out and performing for all of you very soon, to give you the show you deserve.”

Abdul also stated that refunds are available at point of purchase.
