Man facing charges following armed robbery at store in Saskatoon

SASKATOON - One man is facing charges following an armed robbery at a convenience store in Saskatoon.

Shortly before 2 a.m. on Aug. 23, police were called to a convenience store in the 200 block of Pendygrasse Road for a report of an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, officers determined that two men had entered the store brandishing knives while demanding cigarettes and cash. They then fled the store with the stolen property and an undisclosed amount of money. Continued investigation led to locating one of the men a short distance away.

As a result, a 25-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with robbery and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.

Police continue to search for the second suspect involved in the robbery.
