Update: Death on Regina's Retallack Street deemed homicide

REGINA — Update: The Regina Police Service is updating a previous news release regarding the death investigation after the discovery of a deceased adult male in the area of the 1300 block of Retallack Street, on Dec. 21. The death is currently being investigated as a homicide. The victim’s name will not be released at this time.

Original post: The Regina Police Service says it has begun a death investigation in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, after the discovery of a deceased adult.

On Thursday, Dec. 21, at 4:03 p.m., patrol members were dispatched to the area of the 1300 block of Retallack Street. Officers arrived, and located the body of an adult male, who was transported by EMS to the Regina General Hospital and was later confirmed deceased. The officers secured the scene and requested a Coroner as well as additional police resources.

Police say that at this early stage of the investigation, there are no other details for release to the public.
