WEYBURN - As part of National Volunteer Week, the Weyburn Communithon committee is hosting a volunteer appreciation night, themed “Every Moment Matters”, on Tuesday, April 23 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Â鶹ÊÓƵeast College.
Volunteers are asked to join them for appetizers and fun as they express their gratitude to all who play a role in making Communithon a success.
Lindsay Manko-Bauche, Communication Volunteer Committee Chair, emphasizes the significance of every volunteer’s effort: “The entire Communithon is executed solely by volunteers, from the planning committees to the entertainers. Their dedication reflects their belief in our community. We’re amazed by the countless hours of planning and preparation that ensure Communithon remains a vital support for Weyburn. This underscores the theme of National Volunteer Week – every moment truly matters in creating meaningful change.”
This event is a token of appreciation for all who contribute to Communithon, providing an opportunity to recognize the efforts of individuals and businesses throughout the year.
The committee will also shed light on how funding benefits member agencies, illustrating the tangible impact of volunteerism in Weyburn. Following the volunteer program, there will be a brief annual meeting for the Communithon committee that everyone is welcome to attend.
The event is open to the public, offering a chance to learn more about Communithon and connect with others. Manko-Bauche encourages participation, stating, “There’s something for everyone. We welcome individuals to contribute their talents and join our cause.”
