Dog licences were due to be purchased in Wilkie, with the cost being $10 for each male dog, $15 for each female dog and $10 for each spayed female dog.
RM of Buffalo council passed a motion exempting the Phippen Community Hall from taxation for the current year, and “that we recommend to the Department of Labour – Theatres Branch, that the Phippen Community Hall is considered a safe and proper place to be licensed as a Concert Hall, Dance Hall of Assembly Room.”
The mileage rate for board members attending Wilkie School Unit meetings was set at 15 cents per mile.
A new lab referral service was initiated at Wilkie Union Hospital.

After Unity Minor Hockey had been without a president since spring of the previous year, former vice-president Tracy David stepped up to take the position. There were 132 registered players in the 2004-05 season.
Wilkie resident Rita Hansen gave an account of the tsunami disaster in southeast Asia, where she had been visiting her son Carlo. Fortunately they were not near the worst-damaged areas but she did see some of the effects before her return home. With no local English-speaking media, she did not at first know what had happened but observed things such as a boat in the middle of a street.
The Landswest School Division board approved the following non-faculty coaches: Michael Maurice and Dustin Eriser, Kerrobert senior boys’ basketball; Darlene Gillies and Brad Heidt, Kerrobert curling; and Daryl Zimmer, Luseland boys’ basketball.
