REGINA — Sunday night proved to be eventful for Regina firefighters, as they faced not one, but two alarming incidents.
The first call came at 2:52 p.m., drawing crews to the 700 Block of Garnet Street where firefighters tackled the blaze, ensuring the safety of all occupants. Miraculously, no injuries were reported, and thorough searches confirmed everyone’s well-being.
As the dust settled from this intense ordeal, later that evening, as Regina crews settled into their routines, another urgent call brought them back into action.
At 9:02 p.m., crews raced to the 1300 Block of Retallack, where flames threatened to consume a home. Originating on the exterior, the fire had managed to spread inside. The efforts of fire crews paid off, with no injuries reported after exhaustive searches of the premises.
Both fires are now under investigation.
