The City of North Battleford and CUPE Local 287 signed a three-year labour services contract at Monday's council meeting. Human resources manager for the City, Susan Degenstein, said, "This year we had a very successful round of negotiations." She said they'd chosen a different format this year than last. "I think it turned out to be a very good respectful negotiation … and I think both sides are very, very pleased." Taking part in the signing were Mayor Ian Hamilton, Local 287 president Dan Superlak, CUPE representative Gary Day, City Clerk Debbie Wohlberg and City Manager Jim Puffalt.
