Kayla Walker, 22, charged in P. A. collision that killed woman

Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) members responded to the report of a collision between two vehicles at about 9 p.m. on Dec. 2.

PRINCE ALBERT – Update: The Prince Albert Police Service has charged 22-year-old Kayla Walker with dangerous causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

Walker made her first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday morning. Police can confirm that the passenger, 30-year-old Daniellea Clarke, passed away as a result of the motor vehicle collision, which occurred at the intersection of Central Avenue and 28th Street shortly before p.m. on Dec. 2.  The 53-year-old driver in the vehicle with Daniellea Clarke at the time of the collision was taken to the Victoria Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Prince Albert Criminal Investigation Division say they continue to investigate.

Original story: A 30-year-old woman has died after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Central Avenue and 28th Street East Saturday evening. Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) members responded to the report of the collision at about 9 p.m. on Dec. 2.

Parkland Ambulance and Prince Albert Fire Department also responded to the scene. The woman was declared deceased at the scene.

Officers with the Prince Albert Police Major Crimes, Forensic Identification Section (FIS) and RCMP Collision Reconstructionists were called out to assist with the investigation.

PAPS say they have made an arrest in this incident but didn’t name the person or specify age or gender.

PAPS asks members of the public who may have witnessed the collision to contact police with information at 306-953-4222. This incident remains under investigation.
