Wednesday's pedestrian collision proves fatal

REGINA — A man hit by a vehicle Wednesday has died, say Regina police.

On the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 20, at approximately 6:20 p.m., police were dispatched to the intersection of 13th Avenue and Cameron Street. Information received indicated that a crossing pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

Police arrived at the intersection and located an injured adult male, who was attended to by EMS and Regina Fire and Protective Services. The injured male was transported to hospital with serious injuries and has since passed away.

Police located the driver of the vehicle, who had remained on scene. Police temporarily blocked eastbound and westbound traffic to investigate the collision.

This incident remains under investigation. It has not yet been determined what charges, if any, will result pending the outcome of this investigation.
