A bear spray incident prompted a high school lockdown according to Regina Police.

REGINA - Regina Police Service says a weapons investigation at Miller High school is now concluded.

The incident had created a lockdown at Miller High School as well as a Secure the Building mode for Balfour Collegiate, St. Augustine School, St. Faustina School and Thompson School. All of those are now lifted.

According to Regina police, at approximately 1:10 pm today they received a report that two students were being chased by two or three individuals who were threatening them with bear mace.

Police say the caller said the suspects were around Miller High School and might have entered the school. As a precaution, the school was put into lockdown, and remained in lockdown while officers searched for the suspects and did their investigation.

Balfour Collegiate, St. Augustine School, St. Faustina School and Thompson School were placed into secure the building mode as well during that time.

While the lockdown is now over, police say the investigation is still ongoing and more updates will be shared as they become available.
