Two Saskatoon men have been charged with assault in connection to separate incidents in the 200 Block of 1st Avenue Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ on Monday.
On April 29, at approximately 7 a.m. Saskatoon police responded to a weapon’s call in the 200 Block of 1st Avenue Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ.
While on route to the call, officers received an update that a female had been hit with a metal pipe. When police arrived, they were able to obtain video footage and identify the suspect. They located and arrest the suspect a short time later.
As a result, a 42-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with assault with a weapon, and failure to comply with court ordered conditions.
Later that day, around 5:30 p.m. police responded to a call for an intoxicated person in the 200 Block of 1st Avenue Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. When police arrived, they found that security guards already had the suspect in custody. After further investigation officers learned the suspect had assaulted one of the security guards.
As a result, a 55-year-old Saskatoon man was arrested and charged with assault.
