SASKATOON – Two men were arrested after the Saskatoon police Air Support Unit tracked their vehicle to Borden.
At approximately 12:57 a.m., Feb. 13, police located a vehicle that was reported stolen on Feb. 10. Officers attempted a traffic stop shortly after locating the vehicle, but the driver evaded police and headed north on Idylwyld Drive towards Highway 16.
Saskatoon police Air Support Unit was able to track the vehicle to Borden, where officers observed a pair of suspects flee from the vehicle. The pair were arrested shortly after.
Inside the vehicle, police found an air soft pistol, a knife, fentanyl and cocaine.
A 28-year-old man and 27-year-old man were charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000. The 28-year-old was also charged with dangerous driving, possession of a weapon, firearms act violations and possession of cocaine and fentanyl.
