Stolen vehicle collides with school bus in North Battleford

Battlefords RCMP is investigating the collision and working to locate the driver of the stolen car.

BATTLEFORDS - RCMP are investigating a collision between an empty school bus and a stolen Volkswagen Friday morning. 

Police say that on March 3 at approximately 7 a.m., they received a report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of St. Laurent Drive and Douglas Avenue in North Battleford. Their initial investigation determined a car and a school bus had collided. The school bus wasn't carrying any passengers at the time of the collision. The bus driver was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The driver of the car, a grey 2010 Volkswagen Golf, which had been reported stolen to Battlefords RCMP on March 2, fled the scene on foot.

Battlefords RCMP is investigating the collision and working to locate the driver of the car. No description of the driver is available at this time.
