Saskatoon police make arrest after woman assaulted

A woman was taken to hospital by paramedics for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

At around 4 a.m. on May 24, police responded to the 400 block of Lenore Drive for a report of an assault in progress.

SASKATOON – A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm following an early morning assault.

At around 4 a.m. on May 24, police responded to the 400 block of Lenore Drive for a report of an assault in progress. When police arrived, they found a 20-year-old woman suffering from injuries consistent with a physical assault. She was transported to hospital by paramedics for treatment of her non-life-threatening injuries. 

The police investigation found than an altercation had occurred between multiple persons known to one another before a man bear sprayed and physically assaulted the woman.

As a result, a 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.
