SASKATOON – The Saskatoon Police Service has charged three people after a Guns and Gangs Unit investigation.
On Jan. 29, the investigation led to the arrest of two 15-year-old males in the 400 block of Witney Ave Â鶹ÊÓƵ. They were found to be in possession of bear spray, a machete, and a loaded sawed-off rifle.
Later that day, with assistance from the SPS Tactical Support Unit, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 400 block of Montreal Avenue Â鶹ÊÓƵ. As a result of the search, a 9mm handgun, bear spray, cocaine, and methamphetamine were seized. A 24-year-old woman was also arrested at this residence.
One male is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.
The second male is charged with two counts of possession of a dangerous weapon, breach of probation, and breach of release order.
The 24-year-old woman is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, breach of probation. She also had outstanding warrants for theft of a motor vehicle, and breach of probation.
