SASKATOON – A 38-year-old man is facing numerous firearms related charges after a Saskatoon Police Service Gun and Gangs Unit investigation.
On Nov. 16, at around 3 p.m., an ongoing Guns and Gangs Unit investigation led to a search warrant being executed in the 200 block of 28th Street West. The SPS Tactical Support Unit supported officers in calling out a number of people, and arresting the 38-year-old suspect of the investigation, inside the home.
A search of the residence recovered two sawed-off rifles, a handgun, and ammunition.
The man now faces 12 firearms related charges, including two counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, and three counts of possession of firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized. He was also wanted on two Canada wide warrants.
