Saskatoon police Explosive unit disposes of hazardous material at U of S

SASKATOON – Update: Members of Patrol and the Explosive Disposal Unit have completed operations on Innovation Boulevard.  The hazardous material that officers responded to was safely disposed of and no one was injured. Traffic restrictions have been lifted.  The Saskatoon Police Service wishes to thank the public for their cooperation.

Original story: The Saskatoon Police Service Explosive Disposal Unit and Patrol officers are in the 10 block of Innovation Boulevard at the U of S after a report of a hazardous material.

The roadway is currently closed to traffic. Please avoid the area and follow police directions as members conduct operations. There is no risk to public safety, at this time.

Police say an update will be provided when the scene has been cleared.
