Saskatoon man receives life-threatening stab wound

Police say an altercation had occurred between two men known to one another.

Saskatoon police say they were called around 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 to the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive for a report of an injured person.

SASKATOON – A 32-year-old man received a life-threatening stab wound following an altercation on Dec. 21.

Saskatoon police say they were called around 8:30 p.m. to the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive for a report of an injured person. He received emergency medical attention by members of Saskatoon police patrol before paramedics transported him to hospital.

An altercation had occurred between two men known to one another when the victim was stabbed by the 36-year-old male suspect, say police. The suspect then fled the area before police arrived.

Members of the Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate.
