Saskatoon man faces aggravated assault charges after woman injured

A man is facing charges relating to an aggravated assault Tuesday afternoon.

SASKATOON – A man is facing charges relating to an aggravated assault Tuesday afternoon.

At approximately 3:50 p.m. on May 21, police responded to reports of an injured person as a result of a stabbing in the 2300 Block of Millar Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found la 41-year-old woman. She was taken to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled on a bicycle before officers were able to locate and arrest him a short time later.

A 24-year-old man is facing charges in relation to aggravated assault, as well as failure to comply with court-ordered conditions.

The preliminary police investigation indicates this incident is not believed to be random in nature.
