RPS catch thief in the act

REGINA – Police thwarted an early morning theft on Nov. 6, catching the thief literally holding the bag.

According to a media release from Regina Police Service, members responded to a break and enter in progress on the 2200 block of Broad Street around 4:20 a.m. where a man had been seen breaking into the business.

"Police arrived and found a 34 year-old male with a bag of items believed to be property stolen from the business," RPS said. "The male was arrested and subsequently charged."

Charged with an offence of break, enter and commit is Bryant Mario Ruda, who was scheduled to make an initial court appearance on Nov. 7.
