Regina police nab couple on crime spree

Man and woman face more than 30 charges, appearing in court Dec. 22; say police.

REGINA – Police were able to arrest a couple responsible for a crime spree in the city over the last month. On Dec. 20, Tayler Joy Williamsen, 29, and Calvin Roy Sparvier, 27, were arrested for their part in nine events occurring from Nov. 29 to Dec. 19.

“Further investigation including execution of search warrants led to numerous charges against the two suspects,” RPS said in a media release.

Both Williamsen and Sparvier are jointly charged with two counts of robbery and use of imitation firearm; and single counts of break and enter to commit robbery and possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Williamsen also faces charges of nine counts breach of probation; and single counts of motor vehicle theft, theft over $5,000, assault with a weapon, robbery, disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence, and failure to stop after an accident.

Sparvier is also charged with three counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to  prohibition; and two counts each of disguise with intent, and assault with a weapon (bear spray).

The duo will appear in court on these charges on Dec. 22.
