RCMP make two arrests in June 2022 homicide of Chad Bird

RCMP had found Chad Bird’s body outside a home after Waskesiu/Montreal Lake RCMP got a call about a sudden death on Montreal Lake Cree Nation.

PRINCE ALBERT – RCMP Major Crimes have charged two people in connection to the June 7, 2022, murder of 33-year-old Chad Bird on Montreal Lake Cree Nation.

On Oct. 16, 26-year-old Tristen Naytowhow from Prince Albert was arrested in Prince Albert and charged with second-degree murder. He appears in Prince Albert court Tuesday.

On Oct. 14, 37-year-old Julian Ganton from Prince Albert was arrested in Saskatoon with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP’s Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team and Saskatoon Police Service. He is charged with accessory after the fact to murder and driving while prohibited. He appeared in Saskatoon court Monday.
