Prince Albert police seize drugs, weapons, charge couple

Police found a sawed off .22 rifle, ammunition, 66.4 grams of methamphetamine, 7.4 grams of cocaine, and further evidence to support drug trafficking and stolen property. 

PRINCE ALBERT – Police raided a home in the 700 block of 15th Street West in the city and arrested two Prince Albert residents after seizing weapons and drugs. The Prince Albert Police Service Crime Reduction Team, Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team, and Patrol officers had executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on Oct 18.

Landon Vandale, 32, and April Zimmerman, 37, were each charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine and methamphetamine), and several firearms-related offences.

They made their first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court Thursday morning and were remanded in custody. They are both back in court Friday morning for bail hearings.
