P. A. police charge man with two armed robberies

Police say they continue to dedicate efforts and resources into the investigation of several violent offences within the community over the past month.

The arrest is the result of an extensive investigation by members of the Prince Albert Police Patrol Division, Proactive Policing Unit and Forensic Identification Section into a number of armed robberies, which occurred in over the past several weeks.

PRINCE ALBERT – A 29-year-old man has been charged in connection to two armed robberies in the city.

Nap McCallum is facing two counts each of robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon.  He is also charged with disguise with intent, failing to comply with a release order, and failing to comply with a court order.

His arrest is the result of an extensive investigation by members of the Prince Albert Police Patrol Division, Proactive Policing Unit and Forensic Identification Section into a number of armed robberies, which occurred in over the past several weeks.

In addition to the robbery investigations, McCallum was arrested on outstanding warrants with additional charges of carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest and failing to comply with a release order.

McCallum made his first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Sept. 27 and has been remanded into custody.

 Police say they continue to dedicate efforts and resources into the investigation of several violent offences within the community over the past month.
