Moosomin FN man charged with three murders headed to trial

Wade Frenchman is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Alyssa LeCaine, Daphne Bear, and Tyler Mooswa.

NORTH BATTLEFORD – Wade Frenchman, a 31-year-old man from Moosomin First Nation who is accused of killing three people, is headed to trial in Battleford Court of King’s Bench. A date will be set.

Frenchman is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 25-year-old Alyssa LeCaine, 20-year-old Daphne Bear, and 35-year-old Tyler Mooswa.

Sask. RCMP Major Crimes initially arrested Frenchman in North Battleford for the June 4, 2023, Mooswa’s murder on Moosomin First Nation.

Months later, RCMP arrested Frenchman at the correctional centre and charged him with the Dec. 24, 2021, double murder of LeCaine and Bear. The two women were found deceased after a house fire on the 1000 block of 108 Street in North Battleford.
