Man who allegedly opened fire on Poundmaker FN remains in custody

NORTH BATTLEFORD – A man who allegedly approached a home on Poundmaker First Nation and started to shoot remains in custody. A bullet hit a parked vehicle.

Terrance Favel, 51, was remanded after an appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court June 29 and is due back in court Aug. 10.

Cut Knife RCMP were searching for Favel after the shooting June 25. They located and arrested him on Little Pine First Nation.

Favel is charged with possession of a firearm when knowing possession is unauthorized, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, two counts of mischief under $5,000, mischief over $5,000, uttering threats, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, resisting/obstructing a peace officer, weapons possession contrary to a court order, discharging a firearm while being reckless, and assault of a police officer.
