BROADVIEW — A Cowessess First Nation woman charged in connection with a death, has admitted her guilt.
In August of 2021, Mounties responded to a complaint of an injured person in a vehicle outside a business on the Cowessess First Nation, and 15-year-old Delrae Sparvier was pronounced dead at the scene.
Twenty-two-year-old Kyla Gambler was in Broadview Court Thursday of last week where she pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving causing death and two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
She was sentenced to 30 months in prison, to be followed by a five-year driving ban.
