Battlefords RCMP arrest man at business after weapons complaint

Polcie responded to a call at about 6 p.m. on Feb. 2 that a man had a firearm at a business.

The man was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, mischief, using an imitation firearm while committing mischief, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

BATTLEFORDS – Police arrested a 57-year-old Red Pheasant First Nation man for allegedly having a pellet gun at a business on Railway Avenue East in North Battleford.

Battlefords RCMP had responded to a call at about 6 p.m. on Feb. 2 that a man had a firearm at a business. They arrested the man without incident.

Police found a pellet gun in his bag. He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, mischief, using an imitation firearm while committing mischief, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He appeared in court Feb. 5.
