NORTH BATTLEFORD – An 18-year-old North Battleford man faces numerous charges after allegedly shooting a man in a parked vehicle in the area of 16th Avenue and 93rd Street.

Tiger Mooswa from North Battleford is charged with attempted murder, flight from police, dangerous driving, and failing to comply with a probation order.

RCMP say that at about 11:10 p.m. on Oct. 8, they got a call about a firearm discharge. Police responded right away and their investigation determined a vehicle with several occupants pulled up to an occupied parked vehicle before fleeing. The man was treated in hospital for serious injuries.

Officers found the suspects driving in a vehicle and attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle fled. The vehicle was later disabled north of North Battleford and three people were arrested without incident.

Isaiah Nicotine, 18, from Cando, and Zhakary Knight, 22, from Moosomin First Nation were each charged with flight from police and dangerous driving.

They appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court Oct. 10.
