YORKTON - It was a busy weekend for the Parkland AAA 18U Expos with four games in two days.
The Expos were in Moose Jaw Sunday for a doubleheader against the Moose Jaw Canucks AAA 18Us.
In the opening game it was all the home side as the Canucks scored 11 while allowing the Expos only one.
Cohn Murray took the loss allowing nine hits and eight runs over four innings.
Game two was a shortened affair going only five innings, but enough time for Moose Jaw to score in four of those innings to record an 11-0 win.
Matthew Spilchuk took the loss after starting and giving up seven runs on eight hits.
A day earlier the Regina AAA 18U Athletics were at Jubilee Park in Yorkton Saturday for a pair of games against the host Expos.
In the opener it was all Regina who scored seven runs on only two hits in the second inning on their way to a 12-1 win.
Kaden Pihach took the loss for the Expos allowing 12 runs, five earned, in four innings of work.
Carson Waloschuk had the lone run batted in for the home side.
Things were far closer in the second game of the day with a single run the difference as the Expos rebounded for a 9-8 win.
The game was tied going to the bottom of the eighth when Ty Sleeva grounded out, but scored the winning run.
The Expos were actually up seven in the third but the Athletics battled back.
Matthew Spilchuk earned the win in 1.2 innings in relieve. He was also 3-for-4 at the plate.
The Expos host the Â鶹ÊÓƵ East Twins AAA 18U team June 29, for a doubleheader.
