Irene Yaholnitsky (nee Mysko) March 21, 1925 - June 17, 2012. Irene Yaholnitsky of Calgary, passed away at Foothills Medical Centre on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the age of 87 years. Born in Stornoway, SK to Fred and Dora Mysko as the second of four children, Irene grew up on a farm near Calder, SK. On July 26, 1947 in Yorkton, SK, she married Orry Yaholnitsky, and moved to Calgary that same year. Irene was an inspired seamstress and a passionate gardener who loved her faithful dog Mitzu. Her family was her pride and joy. Irene was predeceased by her husband Orry, but will be lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses, Greg and Maartje of Burnaby, BC, Dennis and Joan, Jackie and Dale, and Trish and Kirk, all of Calgary; and five grandchildren, Ryan, Cody, Julia, Nicholas and Dawson, all of Calgary. She is also survived by sister Olga Rieder, brother Ernie Mysko, and sister-in-laws Nettie Mysko, Vicki Yaholnitsky and Margaret Yaholnitsky, all residing in Saskatchewan.
