Brenda Wielgoz of Yorkton, formerly of Paradise Hill and Wishart, SK. Brenda passed away at her home in Yorkton on August 27, 2012. She was fifty years of age. Brenda was born prematurely on April 18, 1962 in Lestock, SK, a daughter of Andrew and Florence (nee Malinowski) Wielgoz. She spent her first seven weeks of life in the hospital until she weighed 6 pounds. She then joined Mom, Dad and two older sisters at the family farm, south of Bankend, SK. Brenda graduated high school in Wishart and went on to complete nursing school in Regina. She was employed at the Pasqua Hospital and it was there that she met Ian. They were married in July 11, 1989. They moved and worked in New Denver, BC. From BC they moved to Paradise Hill, SK. and set up medical practice. During this time Julie was born prematurely on August 19, 1991, at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. Brenda and Julie spent several weeks in the hospital until they were well enough to go home. Shortly after the family moved to Yorkton, SK. Brenda was Julie's primary caregiver. She cared for her daughter with great compassion and love. Julie was Brenda's pride and joy. Brenda was very interested in needle work, stained glass, painting and other crafts. She was a good artist. Brenda was predeceased by her father Andrew, sister Marilyn Isfeld and brother-in-law, George Groome. Brenda will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Julie, her mother Florence, sister Doloris Groome, nephew Jeremiah, brother-in-law Al Isfeld, nieces Cheryl (Scott) and Stacey (Nathan) and great nephews Franklin, Eric, Alex, Kaylem and great niece Evelyn. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church 303 - 4th St. E. Wynyard. Interment will follow in the family plot in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Wishart. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Camp Easter Seals or Saskatchewan Cerebral Palsy Association as gifts of remembrance.
