Albert Edwin Weber

Albert Edwin Weber, beloved husband of Bertha Weber passed away to his heavenly home on Aug. 19, 2016 at the Yorkton Regional Health Center at 91 years of age. Albert was born April 14, 1925 at his family home to William and Julianna Weber. He attended a country school near Ebenezer and worked on the family farm. Albert loved the Lord and was baptized at an early age in the Ebenezer Baptist Church. He continued to love gospel music all his life. Shortly after he bought his own farm NW of Ebenezer, he was united in marriage to Bertha Reimer July 18, 1949. They moved SE of Springside in 1957 and continued to build their home and family. Albert and Bertha were blessed with five children: Joann, Loreen, Annette, Ken and Allan. Albert was happy living on the farm and working hard. He especially enjoyed going camping with the family and fishing with his buddies. He was pretty proud of catching a 36lb jackfish at Lake of the Prairies. In 1969 the family moved into Yorkton. He worked at the Yorkton Hospital in the laundry dept. He wrote his firemen's papers and then worked in the boiler room at the Yorkton and District Nursing Home until failing health forced him into early retirement. He had always been a fan of the Yorkton Terriers and went to many games. In 2000, Albert and Bertha moved into their current home at Independent Manor where Albert continued to make friends and enjoy activities at the manor. Albert's happiest times were with his family, when "the kids came home". He was proud of all their accomplishments and how the grandchildren were growing up so fast. Albert was predeceased by his parents, William and Julianna Weber, his brother Theodore and sister Lena Minke.
