John Vidomski

John Vidomski, beloved son of Vincent and Josephine (nee: Vargacha), passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, Yorkton, Sk. He was 81 years of age. John was born in the Otthon District and spent his early years on the farm along side his parents. For a time he drove the mail truck but following his mother's sudden passing on June 14, 1982, he moved from the family farm to Otthon with his father. John enjoyed gardening and doing woodwork. He looked after his father, Vincent until his passing on October 31, 2000. John continued to live in Otthon until failing health forced him to move to Queen Elizabeth Court in Yorkton, where he spent the last few years. John was a very gentle, religious, private person and will be missed by everyone who knew him. John was predeceased by his parents. He leaves to mourn his passing and celebrate his life, his aunt, Vicky Chipeur as well numerous cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church in Yorkton, Sk with Father Francis Hengen officiating. Assisting in the service were the cross bearer, Rejean Houle, Cantor, Eugene Kuemper, Lectors, Wayne Exner and Keith Hayward, General Intercessions, Elaine Exner and Minister of Holy Communion, Deanna Pellatt. The accompanist, Judy Berg, led the congregation and members of the church choir in the singing of the hymns, "How Great Thou Art", "Psalm 23", "On Eagle's Wings", "Amazing Grace", "Song of the Angels" and "Though the Mountains May Fall". The Interment Service followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery with Brian Exner, Elaine Exner, Wayne Exner, Jeff Krasowski, Deanna Pellatt and Edwin Pellatt serving as the casket bearers. Friends so wishing may forward their condolences to the family by visiting .  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Christie's Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
