Catherine Hazel Trost aged 61 years, formally of Yorkton, passed away in Vancouver, BC on Monday, January 9, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Catherine was born on December 26, 1955 in Yorkton, SK. She was the second child of Christian and Betty Trost. She attended school in Yorkton. After graduating from the Yorkton Regional High School she opened a beauty salon in Yorkton. Later she became a Nursing Unit Clerk and worked at Vancouver General Hospital. Catherine had many friends. She was full of compassion and caring for everything and everyone on this planet. Later in life travelling became her passion. She visited many countries in Asia and Europe but always gravitated back to India where she spent much of her later years meditating and staying in Ashrams. Catherine had a son, Kim Christopher Gerard Plamondon, who she loved dearly. He was by her side at the time of her passing. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Teague and Amiee Plamondon, her brothers Larry (Cheryl), Bruce, Bob (Denita), Perry and Jason (Kerrilyn). Her nieces Kirsten Courtland (Christopher), Brittany McGregor (Brett), Christine Strang (Brett), April Dreger (Eddie), Desiree, Kailee, Taylor, Rebecca, Jorah, Jensen, Andyn Trost. Her nephews Raeden, Christian and Hunter Trost. Catherine requested a cremation. This will take place in Vancouver, BC on Monday, January 16, 2017. The family is grateful for the condolences but declines flowers and donations.
