With sadness, the family of Heather Stumph announce her sudden passing in her home on Sunday, March 19, 2017. She was 67 years of age. Heather was born on December 14, 1949 in Regina, SK. She was the eldest of 9 children born to Maitland and Dulcie Ross. Heather graduated from Milestone School and then went on to study Occupational Therapy at the University of Edmonton. After graduating, she began her career at Gray Nuns Hospital in Regina. On September 27, 1969 Heather married Leonard Stumph. She worked alongside her husband on the farm while raising 4 children together. In 1984, Heather began working in Home Care as a home care aide and then moved on to work at the Lakeside Manor Care Home in Saltcoats until her retirement.   She also worked part-time at Frameworks in Yorkton for many years. Heather loved her family, horses, painting, spending time at her cabin, travelling and learning the bagpipes. She will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to have met her. Heather is predeceased by her parents, Dulcie and Maitland Ross; her brother, Joel Ross; her mother-in-law, Marie Stumph; her father-in-law, Jack Stumph; and her brother-in-law Laverne Stumph. She is survived by her loving husband, Leonard Stumph; son, Owen Stumph; step-son, Brent Stumph; daughters, Cheryl Stachowich, Catharine Eastman and Cynthia Stumph; grandchildren, Cassandra and Michael Stachowich, Aleisha and Tate Eastman and Tannyn and Jarett Stumph; great grandchild, Radlie Stumph; brothers, Robbie, Jimmy and George Ross; sisters, Rosemary Friedrich, Suzanne Bennett, Shelly Ross and Julie Ross-Thompson as well as many other relatives and dear friends. A gathering to celebrate the life of Heather was held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Saltcoats & District Community Hall. Friends so wishing may make donations in Heather's name to the Boys and Girls Club or to the Saskatchewan Abilities Council as tokens of remembrance.
