Mr. Allan Stumph of Yorkton, beloved husband of Audrey passed away peacefully at his home on July 1, 2012 with his loving wife by his side. Allan Kenneth Stumph was born on September 11, 1942, to Alex and Mary Stumph. He grew up with his two sisters in the Stornoway region. He was baptized and confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Stornoway. In 1963 he married Brenda Duke and they had three daughters, Theresa, Tara and Melissa. Allan remarried Audrey in 1979 and gained three more daughters, Anita, Lisa and Rosalie. Allan started his career at Morris Rod Weeder in 1960, where he was employed in Research and Development as a Industrial Engineer for thirty two years. He started work at Harvest Meats in 1993 and worked there for nineteen years. He retired in October 2011 but continued to work occasionally. Al is survived by his wife of thirty two years, Audrey, his father Alex. Left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Theresa (Lindsay), Tara (Ivan), Melissa (Robert) and three step-daughters, Anita, Lisa (Joe), Rosalie (Scott), thirteen grandchidren: Sara, Laura, Jacob, Austin, Tavis, Rylan, Alex, Brittni, Taylor, Quinn, Connor, Keiran, Jessie and one great-grandchild, Yazmine, sisters Myra (Edmund) and Barb (Ken) along with numerous nieces and nephews. Allan was predeceased by his mother, Mary in January 2011 and granddaughter Avery in 1995. Everyone knew Allan as Stumpy or Stumper. He had many interests including fishing, playing cards, barbequing, traveling, gardening and enjoying time with family and friends. Allan was always willing to give a helping hand. Allan was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was loved and known by many and will be missed very much. A visitation and service of comfort for family and friends was held on Monday, July 3, 2012 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre. The Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church in Yorkton with Rev. Daniel Moeller officiating. The organist, Verna Liebrecht led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "Old Rugged Cross", "How Great Thou Art", and "Amazing Grace". The honourary bearers were Ivan Varga, Lindsey Nerbas, Robert Norberg, Les Arnielian and Brad McLaren. The interment followed in the family plot in the Garden of St. Mark at Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Jacob Sawchuk & Sara Nerbas Serving as the urn bearers.
