Rose Simmons (nee Mosiondz) of Yorkton, beloved wife of Doug Simmons, passed away peacefully at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre on December 19, 2017 at the age of 72 years. Rose was born on June 28, 1945 at Canora, Saskatchewan to John and Anastasia (nee Chalus) Mosiondz and grew up on the family farm. As a young woman, Rose lived in British Columbia but later returned to Saskatchewan, settling in Yorkton. Rose was a strong and determined woman that met challenges with great courage. Her pastimes included reading, watching movies, and following her favorite sports teams. Rose is predeceased by her parents, John and Annie; her sister, Helen Lozinski; and her brothers, Paul Mason, and Metro Mosiondz. Rose leaves to celebrate her life her beloved husband, Doug; her daughter, Cindy (Kuldeep) Belley of Kamloops, British Columbia; her sisters, Mary Oucharek of Yorkton, and Kathy Boguy of Regina; her brother, Mike Mosiondz of Regina; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada in memory of Rose Simmons may be made as an expression of sympathy.
