Annie Shindle passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Yorkton & District Nursing Home - Country Meadows House. She was 95 years of age. Annie was born on Saturday, December 6, 1919 on the family farm near Springside. Annie was an avid gardener and especially loved to tend to her numerous varieties of flowers, she enjoyed quilting, fishing and feeding "her" birds, especially the Blue Jays. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from the Springside Baptist Church with Pastor Karl Kienle officiating. The organist, Jeanette Kriger with Lucille Pritchard led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus", "O Happy Day" and "Amazing Grace". The scripture lesson was read by Elaine Bachorcik with the gospel lesson being read by Crystal Demeria. A heartfelt eulogy was given in memory of Annie by Pat Ellingson and a special selection was given by Annie's sister, Edna Richardson. The interment followed in the Springside Town Cemetery with Chad Shindle, Allison Shindle, Trevor Shindle, Wayne Laube, Terry Monka and Daryl Nielson serving as the Pall bearers. Memorial donations in memory of the Late Annie Shindle may be made to the Langenburg Centennial Special Care Home or to The Gideon's International as gifts of remembrance.
